"Offical Guild Guidelines"
< First World Order >

Rule # 1. "Have Fun!" This is why we are here.
Always keep in mind: "This is just a game!"
Rule # 2. "No Drama!" (See rule 1)

The following Guidelines are to assure we have no drama:

  • A. No belittling remarks concerning one's race, color, religion, creed, gender, or sexuality will be tolerated. Violation will result in demotion or being expelled from the Guild.
  • B. No harassment, stalking, bashing or bullying will be tolerated.
Violation can result in demotion or being expelled from the Guild.
  • C. Don't spread rumors. We want to be able to trust one another. Whether on our forums, in LFG channels or in guild chat, - just don't do it. If you want the truth about a Guild issue, whisper a Guild Officer and ask in a private chat.
  • D. Quests & Instance Requests: When you require an extra hand with a quest, or desire to assemble a Guild group for an instance run, please ask for assistance in the Guild's general chat log. It's considered very rude to "whisper" a guildie or an Officer for immediate help with your situation, or even worst, to blast an "Invite Box" onto someone's screen without the recipient even knowing for what it is for. As a friendly and highly supportive Guild, we should all try to help one another to advance as a Guild. As such, you are encouraged to ask for help, or to ask any question within the Guild's general chat.

However, do not expect Guildies to immediately drop everything and come running to your aid. Many Guildies have both real life & in-game commitments that prevent them from being as helpful as they would like, without planning ahead. Be courteous of your Guildmates, and they will respect your needs.

On the flip side... Should you notice an individual asking for help within the chat log, and you presently are unavailable, "Please let them know." It's merely a common courtesy. To feel completely ignored when requesting assistance of a Guild, is most frustrating. Feeling ignored and alienated, is one of the biggest reasons for people deciding to leave a Guild, so please keep this in mind.
  • E. "Do not BEG!" This Guild will NOT tolerate begging for assistance, Gold, or handouts. This is one of the most annoying things one can do.
  • F. Be a good citizen of Turalyon. When you interact with the server community, you represent the entire Guild. As such, please respect your fellow players. When disagreements occur, try to take your situation to a private chat, and resolve it there. If the disagreement remains unresolved, bring the incident to the attention of a Guild Officer.

Along with this policy, the following situations can all result in immediate Guild expulsion.
  • G. Inappropriate Language. Within Guild Chat; Raid Chat; Instance Runs; or even in General Open Chat; the rule of thumb with this Guild is as follows: "If your language would not be considered appropriate in public, then it will not be considered appropriate here either." There are younger ones and even adults playing here with sensitive ears, so we ask all Guildies to please be respectful in your choice of words.

Even though there is a language filter available with this game, there is still no interest in seeing "&$#!&!" peppered throughout the chat log. If you are incapable of chatting without dropping an F-Bomb every sentence, then best you leave now, as such language will have you removed from this Guild.
  • H. No outright arguing, fighting, or scrapping within Guild Chat. We welcome and encourage healthy discussion on most any topic, but don't get carried away to the point of hammering your personal opinion home in a battle of words. Should an argument become too heated and out of control, the Guild Officers have the right to turn off the chat of "ALL parties involved" to remove and diffuse the situation.
  • I. "Three Strikes Your Out!" This last "Drama Guideline" is so all Guild Members can self-monitor the Guild. Should you notice someone is not playing within the rules of the Guild, "Kindly" remind them of the Guidelines. Don't bully, or boss anyone about, but gently let them know there are Guidelines and rules concerning such-and-such. If someone continually breaks the rules and basically has no or little regard for the Guidelines, notify an Officer or Guild Manager. If we (Officers) hear repeated reports about the same individual, they can be placed on probation toward removal from the Guild.
  • J. "Guild Grievance" "Every Guild member, regardless of level or rank, has the right to be heard."
Should any Guild Member have a problem or personal matter which cannot be addressed within general chat, they have the right to file a "Guild Grievance" with a Senior Officer (Rank I or II). A grievance must be submitted by in-game mail, and must have "Guild Grievance" posted in the title block to alert an Officer.

A grievance will be answered either in person (whisper), or by in-game mail as soon as is possible. All grievances are to be handled in a delicate and private matter, with the upmost of respect for the submitting Guild Member. Should a satisfactory solution not be found, the grievance is to be passed-up to the next higher Ranking Officer, to again be addressed until a solution is agreed upon.
  • K. "Participation". There are no set rules as to when or how often you must play this game, but any player who has been inactive beyond 30 continuous days shall be removed from the Guild roster. Should you be gone for some time, notify an Officer so a note can be attached to your account. If your time is mostly dedicated to just one character (toon) for some time, it's good practice to occasionally log your other characters to avoid them going beyond 30 days inactive. If you are removed for no other reason than being inactive, you are more than welcome to ask for an invite back to the Guild at anytime.

The following actions are strictly prohibited, and will result in automatic expulsion from the Guild:

  • a. Farming - in the bot sense. Any player found using mods to farm materials, or using real life cash to buy or sell Gold, will be immediately expelled from the Guild, as these activities are in direct violation of WOW's licensing agreement. *** Of course, at times when grinding skills or raising cash for elite mounts and items, characters will find they are involved in some degree of farming. We ask that you please be respectful of lower lvl players, when harvesting zones below your level.
  • b. Ninja Looting - Ninja Looting puts a black mark on your reputation and the reputation of your guild - "So don't do it!" If you're in a pick-up group, make sure you understand the loot rules ahead of time. If you're uncomfortable with the rules established by the party leader, leave and find a new group.
  • c. Flaming – Meaning to throw gasoline onto a dangerously flammable situation, which only makes thing worst. While it certainly gives one a great deal of personal satisfaction to do something vindictive to an individual you feel has wronged you or the Guild, this can also make you look equally as immature and unreasonable, and this reflects badly upon the Guild. No flaming in guild chat, Wow forums, General or Trade channel by any guild member will be tolerated.
  • d. Intentional provoking or “messing with people” is not appropriate Guild behavior. We love to be silly, joke, and have fun; but any such action toward guild or non-guild members that can be viewed as harassment or malicious, will result in strict disciplinary action.

Violation of these rules can be grounds for disciplinary action including expulsion from the guild.
When in doubt, ask an officer or class leader.

These are Guidelines only, and as such they shall be constantly updated as required.
If you feel there is anything missing, or should be adjusted to reflect the best interest of the Guild, please submit your recommendation(s) to Sylvanice or any Guild Officer.
